Whether you’re here for a good time or a long time, the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Program is your chance to learn more about our community, build on your skills, and boost your Revelstoke experience with a wide range of perks.

The Ambassador Program: Core modules

How does it work?

1. Sit the Courses

Complete the two core courses of the Ambassador Program and you’ll become a Revelstoke Ambassador, equipped with the knowledge and skills to share the Stoke with others. See core course info below.

2. Provide Proof of Employment.
You can either:

  • Upload a pay slip to the Ambassador Program interface during the Revelstoke Knowledge course, or;

  • Download and complete the the Proof of Employment Form and either upload or bring to us at the BVIC.

3. Collect Benefits from the BVIC

Ambassadors are rewarded with a wide selection of exclusive perks, local freebies, discounted passes, tours, and rentals to help them experience more of Revelstoke firsthand.

Revelstoke Knowledge

Join comedian Katie Burrell and a host of local Ambassadors on an entertaining and informative video tour through Revelstoke that will leave you better equipped to share your passion for our beautiful town.

Customer Service Excellence

Hear directly from Revelstoke’s frontline pros on how they create exceptional guest experiences. Then, explore the Six Pillars of Customer Service Excellence — practical tools to help you deliver standout service and share the stoke with everyone you meet.


Career Skills for Success : Powered by Okanagan College

We’ve partnered with Okanagan College to bring the classroom to the playground!

Ambassadors can now access Okanagan College’s Career Skills for Success. This series includes 2 courses, with a total of 15 flexible, self-paced modules designed to help you grow your skills, boost your confidence at work, and build your resume - all while living and working right here in Revelstoke.

Completing each course grants you a Certificate of Completion you can use to prove your dedication to levelling up.

Eligibility: This additional training is considered a benefit of the Ambassador Program and therefore meets the same eligibility as other benefits: You must live in Revelstoke and work/volunteer for a Revelstoke based business/organization. Please complete the core modules before accessing the Career Skills for Success training.

Career skills for success: KICK START

What you’ll learn:

Career skills for success: LEVEL UP

What you’ll learn:

1. Communication Skills
2. Meeting Management
3. Digital Workplace Skills
4. Workplace Etiquette
5. Problem Solving Skills
6. Goals Setting Skills
7. Change Management

Note - You can pick & choose which modules you’d like to complete, but to receive the Certificate of Completion you must do all course modules.

    • Connecting Revelstoke's workforce and volunteers.

    • Providing excellent visitor experiences.

    • Supporting Revelstoke businesses with sustainable workforce supports.

    In 2025, we partnered with the Okanagan College to extend their Career Skills for Success training modules with Ambassadors, to further support and strengthen Revelstoke’s workforce.

  • Revelstoke Ambassador Benefits Pass

    1. You work for any Revelstoke-based business or volunteer on the board of any Revelstoke-based Non Profit Organization, and;

    2. You have completed the two core courses in the Ambassador Program online training. (Summer Knowledge & Customer Service)

    RMR BONUS PERKS - Additional Eligibility Requirements

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY INFO

    1. If you are not employed in Revelstoke or work remotely for a business based out of town, we will not be able to give you the benefits.

      • However, everyone is invited to take the free core modules to learn more about Revelstoke. 

  • The Ambassador Program runs twice a year.

    Summer season | May 18 - September 30
    Winter season | Nov 1 - April 30

    The Ambassador Benefits Pass can only be collected during the date ranges above, with benefits expiring at the end of each range.

    Both intakes of the Ambassador program feature 2 core courses that take an hour each to complete. They are:

    Revelstoke Knowledge | To be completed every intake (every season)

    Each season, returning Ambassadors will need to complete the current Revelstoke Knowledge to be eligible for the Ambassador Pass again.

    Customer Service Excellence | To be completed once

    Careers Skills for Success: Powered by Okanagan College | Available Year Round
    This 8 module course is designed to help you level up your skills and career progression. Unlike the Core courses, it is available year round.

    If you’d like to enroll in the Career Skills training outside of Ambassador intakes, you will need to provide proof of your current work or volunteering position with a Revelstoke based organization to the Chamber at Business and Visitor Information Centre.
